MS in Applied Economics is a 1-year program offered on a full-time basis.
It is designed to be a self-contained program that gives the successful student valuable skills as an applied economist.
Graduates with such skills are in demand by both the public and private sectors.
This is intended to be a terminal degree and not preparation for entry into a doctoral program.
The culmination of the program is an Applied Master’s Project, conducted in the summer.
At the end of the semester, students have to complete a project that allows students to gain experience in performing practical economic research from start to finish as is commonly found in consulting projects or government agency reports.
Students also gain practical experience attending and preparing for structured meetings, giving formal presentations, and technical writing.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must complete a bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
A GPA of 3.0 is required on a 4.0 scale.
Students must complete one semester of calculus (Calculus I or Business Calculus) and one semester of statistics.
Applicants must have a substantial background in economics, demonstrated by coursework in intermediate microeconomics, intermediate macroeconomics, analysis of economic data, and econometrics.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program
