To accommodate the diverse interests of students, the department offers a range of bachelors degree options:
- Mathematics
- Applied and Computational Mathematics

The department also offers a BA/MS option giving students additional preparation before taking the next step to graduate school or a profession.
The mathematics research faculty at FSU has expertise in a broad range of topics in the traditional areas of pure and applied mathematics, as well as in the interdisciplinay areas of biomathematics and financial mathematics. Advanced students may arrange Directed Individual Study (DIS) and Honors Thesis projects with individual faculty members by contacting them directly.

Academic Requirements:
