Students may choose any of the 3 Bachelor of Science degree programs as a major course of study. The Bachelor of Science program with teacher certification is designed to train students for careers in secondary education. The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry program with certification by the American Chemical Society is designed to prepare students for immediate industrial employment or graduate training. The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Pre-Medicine/Pre-Dentistry program is designed for students who plan careers in medicine or dentistry. The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Biochemistry prepares students for careers in biochemistry, biotechnology, medicine or dentistry. No chemistry course with a grade below "C" will be acceptable as credit toward a major or minor in chemistry. A Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry is a gateway to a number of challenging, enriching and high-paying careers. Students may choose any of the four Bachelor of Science degree programs as a major course of study.
Chemistry
- The Bachelor of Science (American Chemical Society Certified) is designed to prepare students for immediate employment or graduate school.
Biochemistry
- The Bachelor of Science/Biochemistry (American Chemical Society Certified) is designed to prepare students for careers in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Medicine, Dentistry or graduate school.
Pre-Medicine/Pre-Dentistry
- The Bachelor of Science (Pre-Medicine/Pre-Dentistry) is designed for students who plan careers in Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Science.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Application Requirements:
- Submit an official or certified copy of all secondary and post-secondary records and/or examination results.
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by a member of NACES and should have an English translation if not in English
- Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or equivalent on a scale of 4.0
- Submit official test scores of SAT/ACT
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 80 in iBT; 550 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.0

Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University have specific admission deadlines for undergraduate and graduate programs.
