The Veterinary Technology program is an intensive four-year degree program which trains students to provide medical and non-medical support to veterinarians. During the first two years, students concentrate on the core Animal Science major requirements. At the Florida A&M University (FAMU) Animal Complex in Quincy, Florida, students will apply veterinary terms, concepts, and model ethical and professional behavior under the guidance of FAMU's licensed veterinarians and technologists. The complex houses small ruminant, swine, and equine species for use in teaching research and extension.The Veterinary Technology program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association which enables graduates to take the national certification examination.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Application Requirements:
- Submit an official or certified copy of all secondary and post-secondary records and/or examination results.
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by a member of NACES and should have an English translation if not in English
- Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or equivalent on a scale of 4.0
- Submit official test scores of SAT/ACT
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 80 in iBT; 550 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.0
