The University of South Florida's M.A. in Criminology is a two-year program designed to provide the student with an in-depth understanding of the major ideas, issues, theories, and research comprising the field of Criminology and Criminal Justice. All course work counted toward the degree must have the prior approval of the Graduate Program Director of the Department of Criminology.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Following are the academic requirements of the program:
- Students must complete a bachelor’s degree from an approved regionally accredited institution (or international equivalent).
- A minimum grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) is required.
- Students from countries where English is not the official language, and who have not earned at least a bachelor’s degree in the U.S. from a regionally accredited institution, must also demonstrate proficiency in the English language.
