Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the University of Arizona.
  • A grade point average of 3.0 or higher is required.
  • It is required for applicants to have a strong background in physics and calculus.
  • Undergraduate Prerequisite Courses:
    • College Physics 1 Introduction to Mechanics
    • College Physics II: Intro Optics & Thermodynamics or Electricity and Magnetism

    • Ordinary Differential Equations
    • General Inorganic Chemistry I (required for research in atmospheric chemistry and aerosols)
