The Human Services curriculum is designed to provide students with knowledge and theory in human development and family studies, skills for working with children, adults, and families, and program evaluation skills. The culminating capstone experience in this major is a full semester internship with a human service agency.
The home of the Human Services major is the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, located in Hanley Hall and Fowler House.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Self reported high school grades and official transcripts
- Self reoprted ACT or SAT scores
- Proof of english language proficiency
- Personal Essay and Purdue specific questions
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL IBT: 88 minimum or higher
- IELTS: 6.5 minimum or higher with 6.0 in each section
- Duolingo: minimum 110 or better
- SAT or ACT: minimum of 600 in Evidence Based Reading & Writing in SAT and 26 minimum in English section in ACT
