US Visa for International Students
The college has the office of Immigration Affairs which provides assistance and guidance to all international students and scholars. Once accepted into the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez, the student needs a student visa to study in the US. To apply for a student visa, the student requires Form I-20 which is issued by the Designated School Official (DSO). DSO doesn’t issue Form I-20 instantly; rather it makes sure the student can meet the requirements given under the form such as:

The first step which the student has to do is submit the evidence of economic solvency wherein the student must demonstrate they have necessary funds (Approx. 20, 882 USD) to cover the expenses of the first academic year.
