Bachelor [Natural Sciences - Biology] From Tennessee Wesleyan University

Biology is the study of life. While a student in the biology program, you will take courses that allow you to understand the?structure, function, growth, distribution and evolution of both living and extinct organisms. You will study the cell as the basic unit of life, genes as the basis of inheritance and evolution as the driving force for the creation of new species. Through coursework and laboratory experiences, you will see how all organisms go through energy transformations to maintain a stable internal environment through changing external conditions.

The biology major provides a broad education in biology, with courses in physical sciences to help support that work, and all courses are taught in the context of the liberal arts.
