- The Master of Science in Computer Science at Georgia Tech is a comprehensive program that provides students with the necessary training and education to advance their careers in the technology industry. To fulfill the requirements of the program, students must earn 30 credit hours through successful course completion.
- This program is intended for individuals who have already obtained a bachelor's degree in computer science from an accredited institution. However, those with a bachelor's degree in a different field are also welcome to apply and may be required to complete additional coursework to meet the requirements of the M.S. degree.
- The program begins in the fall and culminates with a final project, where students demonstrate their mastery of the material and skills learned during the program. This terminal degree program aims to produce highly productive professionals, equipped with the knowledge and expertise to excel in their careers.

Students may specialize in areas of their choice. Every student must complete at least one specialization as a part of their degree program. The current eleven specialization areas are:
- Computer Graphics, Computing Systems
- High-Performance Computing, Human-Computer Interaction
- Interactive Intelligence
- Machine Learning
- Modeling and Simulations
- Scientific Computing
- Social Computing
- Visual Analytics.
- Students may choose from one of the following three options in pursuing the M.S. CS.
- Course Option:
- 30 hours of course work (no M.S. project or thesis hours)
- 21 hours of course work and a 9-hour project. The student must obtain advance approval of the project proposal by the faculty advisor and M.S. CS coordinator.
- 18 hours of course work and a 12-hour thesis. The student must obtain advance approval of the thesis proposal by the faculty advisor and MSCS coordinator.
- Students must achieve a grade-point average of at least 3.0 to graduate, and no course grades below C will count toward graduation.

Georgia Institute Of Technology offers MS Cyber Security program in offline and online learning modes. International students applying for admission in this program must have an undergraduate degree in the relevant field from a recognized university and have a valid ELP test score. For the On campus program, the application deadline is February 15. While the application deadline for the Online program is February 1 as standard deadline and Marchh 15 as the final deadline.
