Fully Hands-on and Highly Regarded: Edith Cowan University

VS
6.8 /10

The course I chose was fully hands-on and highly regarded in the western Australian region. Moreover, I follow the same content and assessment that on-campus students follow, also, all the professors are minimum MS holders and many of them hold Ph.D also, the university has a very good reputation in the western Australian region.

Course Curriculum :

It was ACS (Australian Computer Society) approved curriculum, and getting this approval is not easy. The criteria are very strict to maintain a high quality of education. Moreover, all my units are industry-based and industry-oriented.

Exams :

Actually, I studied in an off-shore campus in Singapore and no requirements were there for me. But the standard IELTS score for on-campus students would be 6.0 (minimum).

Placement :

Since I'm not an on-campus student, I don't experience much about these things. But I have seen many Indian students studying in the university getting placed easily since their course is really advanced.

Internship :

In Singapore, I did a research internship for my final year project with A* Star (which is a highly-ranked research organization across the globe).

Events :

University provides free membership to the Australian Information Security Association (AISA) for security students, and we get all the on-campus updates through emails and the LinkedIn Alumni group. though I am in Singapore I was able to compete in a challenge that happened in Western Australia without any concerns. And with my communications with on-campus students, I can say that the uni was really great to explore and the infrastructure is well-built. ECU has its own SOC center to provide practice for cyber security students.

Fees :

12,00,000 INR is the program fee.

Scholarship :

As an off-shore campus student, I pay only 50% of On-campus students to pay (on-campus it usually cost 15-20 Lakh (INR) to complete 2 years whereas I spent only 12 Lakhs for 2 years.

Faculty :

Though I studied in Singapore, I maintain very good communication with university professors through email and Microsoft team. All of them were very approachable and ready to support you. I really had a very great time being a student.

Hostel :

In Singapore, I stayed in multiple places and the prices were quite cheap.
