I think the curriculum is really strong and highlights key components in which students will need going forward into our professional careers. Some of which I feel like could benefit from more content delivery in tutorials, however.
I was able to participate in my degree through HEX and this also included my SAS fees too. If it wasn't for this, I wouldn't have been able to attend university at all. QUT has also been accommodating to students through many scholarship programs on offer.
I think it provides broad knowledge on the topic.
Scholarships are available to students with high grades and fees are quite high for international students. You need to pay for every unit you study and paid at the beginning of every semester. I am doing 3 semesters for my first year so I need to pay money at the beginning of every semester. I am looking forward to a scholarship
It's good although the first few courses are very basic and a little too easy. For example, my Food and Nutrition unit has very little food and nutrition content and more general tips on being employable so far. Which isn't very interesting.
I deferred my fees to HEX, this process was made very easy and straightforward. There is another fee for each semester of study that you can also defer.
I believe that it is outdated and needs to be rethought I also believe that a wider variety of classes need to be on offer for those that do not wish to undertake the standard subjects. The curriculum does not give students an opportunity to explore their capabilities and creativity
The fees are government paid when you apply for HECS help loans which I believe is beneficial as it allowed people from all walks of life to gain a degree to improve their employability
It's great so far I really like all the freebies and lots of access to help and assistance when required I just started so it?s hard to say more since I am a first year but I've heard great things from other people.
Reasonable and tells how the government helps out when you're applying they strongly suggest to fill out a financial aid document.
The curriculum was alright, but it wasn't anything amazing. It did assist me in learning new concepts and technologies, as well as understanding how these things work and some of their applications in the world. Unfortunately, the major area that I'm working on now (IT Support) had minimal teaching. My knowledge of the curriculum may be outdated, but I wasn't taught about Microsoft Server, Microsoft Exchange, Powershell, SCCM, or Active Directory - all useful and crucial technologies used in workplaces all over the world.
The fee structure was, you were charged a flat amount per unit per semester. There is extreme transparency with the cost, and students have the ability to drop out of the particular unit before the unit cost is incurred. I never had to pay for any resources in order to take the course, but textbooks were recommended (and the ones I did acquire were certainly helpful).
I think the course curriculum is awesome. It's broad, easy to follow, fun and easy going. All the assessments are challenging in a good way. We learn different subjects so you aren't always bored or stuck on one thing.
3,055 for the course alone. $2,436 for textiles and resources. Quite expensive for a short study period.
The curriculum is very assignment based which gives us the opportunity to research and find information to ourselves. The tutors are very successful in clearing doubts and making sure the students absorb the required material.
The fee structure was very fair in comparison to other universities in Australia, and also with a medium priced living cost in Brisbane it's an ideal location to start on education.
Perfect because it sets the person who is studying up for actual job life after they have finished their degree which is what QUT definitely aims to achieve with their students and I find that very comforting.
Fees structure was alright but pretty expensive the most part was travelling to the college there and back began to seem expensive but it was alright.
Very interesting and relevant course material. Assignments are relevant to what I want to do in the future and closely linked to what was taught in the lectures and tutorials. Whilst difficult, exams are also relevant to course material.
Each subject costs a different amount of money. My business subjects tend to be a significant more amount of money than my psychology subjects.
