University of Tasmania offers postgraduate courses in 60+ disciplines at various levels of study - graduate certificates, diplomas and masters degree programs. Students applying for postgraduate programs must have achieved a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university equivalent to degrees offered by an Australian University.

University of Tasmania MBA Admissions

University of Tasmania offers an MBA International with a duration of 2 years to 5 years for international students. University of Tasmania MBA is especially designed to develop skills that are suitable as per the modern challenges in an industry. Students planning to pursue MBA at UTasmania may choose from Finance and Marketing specialization. The program requires completion of 200 credits in total with 150 core unit credits and the remaining 50 for specialization.

Candidates applying to University of Tasmania Undergraduate courses are required to achieve completion of qualifications equivalent to Year 12 Australia. Apart from that, they should also meet the country-specific qualifications and English language proficiency requirements.

Candidates who do not meet the entry requirements for Undergraduate admissions as specified by the University of Tasmania can take admission in a Foundation program. This can then be used as a pathway to an undergraduate course offered by the University.

University of Tasmania Admission Decision

Admission decision is made by the University of Tasmania after critical and careful evaluation of all applications including academic transcripts, certificates, scorecards, English language test reports and personal competency statements or portfolios. Typically the university releases admissions decision from the start of September to the commencement date of the course.

University of Tasmania Admission: Selection Criteria and Acceptance Rate

University of Tasmania acceptance rate is seen to be around 75% due to a slightly selective admission policy. This means anyone who fulfills the minimum admission requirement with submission required documents can easily secure a place during admissions. In the case of highly competitive courses with limited enrolment, admission will be carried out on the basis of quota selection, where applicants will be ranked according to their qualifications. Admission will be provided to applicants on the basis of their ranking position. The minimum ranks for entry to courses are subject to change every year based on factors such as the number of places available, the number of applicants and their academic standing.

The university may also interview, or ask for an audition or submission from candidates. Once an admission decision has been made, the candidates will be notified by the university via Email. Alternatively, students can also keep track of the status of their application through their Portal. Applicants who have not fulfilled all the entry requirements may receive a conditional offer of Admission.
