- Student will gain an understanding of learning at the heart of teaching by examining the learning process and the aspects that influence it. Drawing on contemporary theories, concepts and practices of primary education student will gain an appreciation of the positive impact and power teaching can have on influencing studentng people's learning and development.
- Throughout this specialisation student will examine the importance of literacy and numeracy in primary education and will study the key elements of the primary curriculum including English and literacies, mathematics, arts, humanities, science, technology, and health and physical education.
- student will develop competencies around the development, application and review of effective assessment strategies and will also learn and build a repertoire of positive effective classroom management approaches.
- student will gain practical experience through 60 days of supervised teaching practice in primary schools.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must have completed an Australian bachelor degree or an equivalent qualification.
- Applicants will be required to attend an interview (by telephone) with a member of the selection panel.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of three years of work experience (total) with at least one year of professional/managerial experience.
Language Requirments:
- The students whose official language is not English are required to submit the English Language Proficiency scores.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- The student has graduated from senior secondary school or equivalent (those applying for a postgraduate program must have graduated from a university or college).
- Students completed a Diploma from an accredited institution with 65% in the final years of the program.
