Northern Ontario School of Medicine is a medical training institute located in the province of Ontario in Canada. Established in the year 2005, NOSM serves as the faculty of medicine for Lakehead University in Thunder Bay and Laurentian University in Sudbury.

Residential facilities
- According to Ministry of Health orders, accommodation may be provided up to a maximum of 6 months per academic year by the NOSM
- The Northern Ontario School of Medicine's Housing Unit rents, furnishes and maintains 80+ housing units across the North and is liable for the stipulation of housing for all students

All you need to know about the application process
A 4-year undergraduate degree or equivalent, from an authorized institution in any discipline will be required to apply at NOSM
Pre-requisite
- A relaxation of one year is granted for the mature students
- All the transcripts from the college, CEGEP, university, junior college or graduate school attended by the applicant are required to be submitted electronically or by mail
- Applicants need to submit the proof of their citizenship status in Canada
- All the foreign transcripts must undergo a Canadian WES(World Education Services) assessment
- References from at least 3 individuals are needed to be submitted within the deadline
- International students are not accepted at NOSM. All the applicants need to be Canadian citizens or permanent residents (landed immigrant) to be eligible to apply
How, when and where to apply
- All the applications to the NOSM are needed to be submitted through the Ontario Medical School Application Service (OMSAS)
- To apply to the NOSM, the applicants have to register and create an account with OMSAS
- The closing date of the creation of the account is mid-September and the deadline of the submission of the application form is the first week of October

All the applicants are required to submit a non-refundable OMSAS application service fee of CAD 220
