Langara College

J
6.7 /10

I opted for this college because it is one bus away from home, had easy prerequisites, and was generally cheap in terms of tuition. there are programs that include university transfers as well, which I am interested in.

Course Curriculum :

It is watered down with high school material, especially from the grade 12 level. It is at a faster pace however I would prefer to learn more advanced, college appropriate material. The curriculum is bearable but not ideal.

Fees :

I pay $1500 tuition fees per term, a $50 fee for a recurring monthly bus pass. I live at home, and there are no living campuses.

Examination Structure :

The exam structure is split into parts A, B, and C. I am given around 2 hours for each exam. It is based on the course material and grades are based on a bell curve structure. I believe it is a fair grading system.

Faculty :

This faculty is not too large so I can meet others easily and form closer connections with other students. The professors are fairly competent and teach smaller class sizes.
