Thomas Review at Langara College, Vancouver | Collegedunia

Langara is a nice college

T
8.0 /10

It was very close to home so that was the main reason for me to join. I applied to a Few more colleges in the metro Vancouver area but really wanted to go to Langara. I had a few friends going there and told me that the facilities and the teachers were really great. I feel very accepted and it’s a great learning environment

Course Curriculum :

So far it’s pretty good and smooth.

Exams :

I would rather not answer this. What I Could tell was that at first, I struggled a lot but with the help of my teachers and peers, I am currently recovering. It will still be a while before I become a great student with great marks but I am working hard, studying a lot and working on changing my study habits

Internship :

They offer small jobs such as working at the on-campus Tim Horton or working as maintenance but there are not many hours available. I am unsure about how the jobs areas I currently know nobody who is working on campus

Events :

The college is very open and supports pride which is nice/ there are also some cool culture celebrations at the college.

Fees :

My parents and grandparents covered the cost for me but I am paying my parents 130$ weekly. They would not tell me how much the program costs. From what I know the program is not very cheap as it is located in central Vancouver and many people wanted to get in the program due to it being very closeby for many of the people who attend.

Examination Structure :

The exams as kinda hard but that’s understandable. We have a good amount of time to complete them.

Faculty :

The teachers are all very nice, supportive and are very qualified for what they do. I’m not sure but there a 1 teacher to 40ish student ratio at Langara college.
