The University life Reality

R
7.3 /10

My friend uses to go here and I had decent reviews about the university and the city itself! The admission process was quick and fast. It's just the fee that is a little more expensive but overall a nice option for students. I applied for this university on my own with any help and the process was quite easy and I had assistances from university officials in between.

Exams :

My IELTS score was 7.5 and around 80% in grade 12. Usually, all our classes have around no more than 35 students, which makes it easy to interact with the professor! Overall to complete this course, you need to have 62 credits. The minimum requirement is 6 bands. Other requirements are high school maths and related science courses. You can also get into the program through university offering qualifying studies.

Placement :

I don't have much knowledge about it right now as I am still completing my course but as far as I know my graduate friends have found jobs and are working at a good pay now. They had the same university experience and volunteer opportunities which help a lot for jobs.

Internship :

Yes, my university offer Co-op options and the staff behind the management is really helpful. For international students, the process to apply for internships is a little long but they guide you through it all the time. They assist you through emails and personal sessions. I personally couldn't apply for internships but I have had a good experience with the career centre department.

Fees :

There are scholarship opportunities available but not a lot for international students and the fees structure can be little overwhelming for students as we pay flat fees of $10000 every semester. Fee can be a little overwhelming for students to pay altogether as it is a lot of money. But to help you out, United offers help in different ways for students.

Faculty :

The faculty is really good except some professors who are tuff graders and hard to get along with but if you start talking to them and build your own connections, it helps you a lot. Professor has office hours every week to help students and also offer time after classes. They are quite responsive to emails as well.

Hostel :

On-campus can be a very expensive option for international students. I compared the prices and living out in a sharing basement or apartment is a better and cheaper option for students. Again personal preference can matter a lot here but the cheaper option would be to live somewhere off-campus.
