What students say about University of Toronto

Likes

  • edit A strong work ethic is required. Following all the instructions in the course material will guarantee a good grade for students.
  • Depending on where you work, government jobs (in most cases) pay more than private ones. Apply online as required.
  • There are a lot of opportunities available to us after completing this program, and the research facilities are also very good here.
  • This was available to all first-year students at St. Michaels College, University of Toronto.
  • The campus life is amazing. We have student lounges to play foosball or pool, and just chill and hangout. However, you do not get the time to do all of these.
  • Laurier is wonderful when it comes to the residence they offer to their students.
  • Some teachers utilize articles and podcasts, which I prefer because they are free and more accessible.
  • You can ask almost any question, and they will always give you their best advice/suggestions.
  • Toronto is the hub for AI, and I have family here, so it seemed like the best option.
  • hehe

Dislike

  • As well, the process of getting your money back when you drop a course is not applicable for any other term, which is very disappointings

Liked the college and liked the environment we were offered initially. The school is still good but it is quite hard to find social people and people willing to be a helping hand to you or to others. Academics is a big thing for a lot of people which is fair and completely understood but it is not fair to be shut out by the student population when you can have more interactions.

Good reputation. The University of Toronto is the best university in Canada and I know that my program will help prepare me for a future career. The university is also really close to me in distance and I am easily able to commute even if I wake up late.

I had a lot of pressure from my parents to stay in Toronto and go somewhere prestigious. I ended up choosing UofT because of the soccer program, but if I had the option to go out of the city I probably would have opted for a different school.
