- Writing is central to all English courses. Students will discover the power of language and develop the student’s own skills in research, analysis, organization, and expression.
- Students will learn to read perceptively, opening student’s minds to other viewpoints and experiences. In student’s courses from the first year on, students will work closely with some of the world's leading scholars in areas such as gender studies, modern British literature, Gothic studies, American literature, Renaissance studies, and composition pedagogy.
