- Dalhousie University offers a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting for a duration of 4 years.
- It is an on-campus, co-op program offered on a full-time basis.
- In this program, students will learn the judgment and technical skills needed for external financial reporting and developing internal information used for management planning and control.
- An average of B- between COMM 1101 (Intro to Accounting I - Financial) and COMM 1102 (Intro to Accounting II - Managerial) is required in order to major in Accounting.
- Students have to complete the core courses in accounting, finance, marketing, statistics, and organizational behavior and students also have to complete these six additional courses:
- Intermediate Financial Accounting I
- Intermediate Financial Accounting II

- Accounting majors will often continue their studies after graduation and complete a professional designation (CA, CMA, or CGA).
- The professional accounting bodies allow certain exemptions in respect of courses taken in the Rowe School of Business.

- Students also have to complete a co-op program. After earning the Bachelor of Commerce degree, students may decide to pursue their Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must complete their academic English and Maths subjects with a minimum overall average of 75%.
- Students also have to complete three additional academic subjects.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with an upper second class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, students must have a minimum average of grade B+ (75% or above) for UG studies.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

- Proof of name change: Required only if name discrepancies exist between transcripts/assessments/test scores and other application documents. Examples of proof: Marriage/divorce certificates, 2 copies of government-issued ID that include a previous and current name and date of birth.
