Schulich School of Law Programs
The College offers a Juris Doctor program, Master of Law, Ph.D. in law, and 4 combined law degrees.
- The Juris Doctor is a 3-year full-time bachelor’s degree that prepares students for the practice of law. The first-year curriculum includes the foundation where 2nd and 3rd year allows students to choose a specific area of interest.
- The College offers a Master of law(LLM) and Ph.D. in Law at the graduate level. The graduate programs are taught by Canada’s well-known legal advisors. The graduate program allows students to research areas like Health Law, Law & Technology, and Marine & Environmental Law.

Schulich School of Law Scholarships
The College awards more than 2 million CAD as aid and scholarships to international students for studying in Canada at the school.
- Several entrance scholarships are offered to incoming students based on academic excellence, community involvement, and need-based.
- The academic excellence or Merit-based scholarships does not require any separate application as the students will be considered for scholarships upon their admission. The need-based scholarship may require a separate application along with evidence of financial requirements.
- The College also special scholarships for international students which include J. William E. Mingo Memorial Scholarship and Honorable G.I. Smith Memorial Trust Award.
- International Students may receive an annual award of up to 25,000 through the J. William E. Mingo Memorial Scholarship.

Schulich School of Law Campus and Residence
Campus
The Schulich College is located in the Weldon Law Building within the campus of Dalhousie University.
- The Building is equipped with classrooms, seminar halls, and offices of faculty as well as administrators.
- The Building also has a library named Sir James Dunn Law Library. The Library has a collection of over 220,000 common law materials and legal periodicals.
- Amenities available in the Weldon Law building include a study space for students in the Sir James Dunn Library, a lounge area on the 2nd floor, a computer facility on the 1st and 2nd floor, and a dining facility in Brief Break Cafe
Residence
The on-campus residence is offered by Dalhousie University through its 8 residence halls. Very limited space is available in the on-campus residences. The Students may apply for off-campus housing near the neighborhood of Dalhousie University in Halifax.
- Dalhousie University offers 6 traditional halls for undergraduate students and 2 non-traditional halls for graduate students.
- The undergraduate residence has single to double-room options while the graduate residence has an apartment-style residence with a private and independent lifestyle.
- The Students under 19 years of age will be required to sign an 8-month agreement of residence from September to April.
