Vivekananda College of Pharmacy, Bangalore institute which was established in 1983 under the umbrella of Janata Education Society. The institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and approved by AICTE and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi. The VCP offers courses like B. Pharm, M. Pharma and D. Pharm in the discipline of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutics. And admission to these courses is offered based on scores obtained by candidates in last year's qualifying exam. 

VCP Courses

The Vivekananda College of Pharmacy provides a 4 years B. Pharm course at the Undergraduate level, 2 years M. Pharm at the Postgraduate level, and a 2-year Diploma program in Pharmacy. Following are the details for the same.

D. Pharm Pharmacy PUC/10+2/PDC/HSC exam with Science stream OR Vocational course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics conducted by Government of Kerala only

VCP Facilities

For the purpose of fulfilling students and faculties academic needs, health requirements and other requirements, VCP offers below cited amenities to them to ensure their overall growth and development and give them the best environment to study and learn.

Library and Information Center: To fulfill academic requirements of students and upgrade their knowledge and skills by the use of different sources, and to support learning-teaching-research-service activities, VCP has a full-fledged library. This library is a home of a wide collection of 7020 books including textbooks and reference books, 1415 titles, periodicals, 35 national journals, databases, 101 e-journals, e-books, 519 bound volumes of journals, magazines, newspapers, CD ROMS and GATE question papers. In addition to this, facilities like UGC-INFONET Digital Library Consortium, National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning, Open Access Institutional Repositories (Indian Universities), Open access E-Theaters and Dissertations are there for the benefit of students and faculties.

Laboratories: For the purpose of strengthening student’s theoretical knowledge, experiments are conducted after every lecture and to carry out those experiments, VCP has clean and well-ventilated labs and all of them are well-resourced with latest equipment like Fourier Transform Infra-Red Spectrometer, high performance liquid chromatography, UV-Visible spectrometer, digital melting point apparatus, shaker, incubator and laminar air flow unit. In addition to this, the college has a modernized pilot plant which is well-equipped with resources like GMP pilot tablet press, wet granulator, dry granulator, sieve shaker, pelletizer, ball mill, triple roller mill, coating pan and polishing drum etc. 

Computing Facilities: To make its students digitally proficient and make them updated with the latest industrial trends, VCP campus has computing facilities to house computers and all the computers are connected with each other through high speed internet connectivity. Students can also connect their personal devices like phones and laptops through college Wi-Fi.

Ans. Yes, the Vivekananda College of Pharmacy offers a separate hostel facility for both girls and boys. And these rooms of these hostels are spacious enough, clean and well-ventilated along with sufficient space for students to study, and proper hygienic food is served to them by mess staff and lastly hostel warden responsibility is to ensure safety and security of students.
