Government Medical College, Bhavnagar offers MBBS degree course at the undergraduate level. Candidates must have passed Class XII or equivalent exam from a recognized board with five subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English and obtained 50% marks in aggregate.
Candidates should not be below 17 years of age or above 25 years of age at the time of Application process. Blind (including colour blind), deaf, and/or dumb candidates are not eligible to apply for the course.
Admission to MBBS Courses is done on the basis of NEET UG Scores. The merit list is prepared for all categories based on candidate’s scores in NEET UG by the Admission Committee of the college. Candidates who clear the cut-off score set by the committee will be called for the admission process.

Government Medical College, Bhavnagar offers PG Diploma courses in 25 specializations at the postgraduate level.
Candidates who have passed MBBS from any Medical college which is recognized by the medical council of India. Candidates should have completed his/her rotating internship for one year after passing the MBBS examination on or before January 1 of the year of admission shall be eligible to apply.
Candidates must have got themselves registered (Provisional or Permanent) with any Medical Council (State or Central) to be eligible.
Seats will be filled up by the Admission Committee on the basis of the performance in the MBBS program and Interview except seats to be filled up by the office of DGHS, Government of India. Candidates who clear the cut-off score set by the admission committee will be called for the admission process.
Selection to the seats filled up by the office of DGHS is done on the basis of NEET PG entrance examination conducted by NBE. The merit list for those seats will be prepared for all categories based on candidate’s scores in NEET PG.
Counselling will be conducted by the Director General of Health Science (DGHS) and the name of candidates who clear the cut-off score will be forwarded to GMC Bhavnagar to complete the admission process.
