Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedic is an institute for education in orthopaedics and tertiary trauma. It also encourages research activities, lays emphasis on imparting education in post-operative care, specialized sugery, and rehabilitation. The institute is a full hospital in itself.
