The institute runs 4 years Bachelor’s degree program under three specializations in Medicine & Surgery, Physiotherapy and Operation Therapy. Admissions are based up on the centralized counseling of Maharashtra based on the candidate’s score in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test UG (NEET UG).
Applicants must have passed Higher Secondary examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with at least 50% aggregate marks for all subjects. For SC/ ST candidates, the university offers relaxation of 10% in the qualifying examination.

At postgraduate level, GSMC offers Doctor of Medicine (M.D) and Master of Surgery (M.S) along with 2-year PG Diploma courses. The institute admits 139 students for MD program, 54 for M.S program and 64 students yearly for PG Diploma courses.
Admissions are based on the merit list issued by the Competent Authority on the basis of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test PG (NEET PG). Applicants must hold Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree as minimum educational requirement for the admissions.
The eligibility for selection to medical postgraduate and postgraduate diploma is candidate belonging to unreserved category must have secured 50% marks in NEET PG. For the personal with disabilities, belonging to reserved categories is 40% whereas for those belonging to unreserved categories is 45%.

Admissions to DM and M. Ch courses will be based on counseling conducted by DMER on the basis of candidates score in National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination Super Speciality (NEET SS). The exam will be conducted by the National Board of Examinations on behalf of the Government of India as the standard super specialty courses entrance test.
For admissions to DM and M.Ch program candidates must possess MD/ MS degree or its equivalent from the medical college recognized by Medical Council of India. Candidates appearing in the final year of examination of MD/ MS are also eligible to apply. Such candidates must produce the passing certificate of postgraduate degree during the counseling round.
The minimum percentage of marks required in MD/ MS degree for admission to superspeciality courses is 50% in aggregate.

GSMC offers 2-year M. Sc (by Research) and 3-year Ph. D programs in Biochemistry, Applied Biology Operational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Microbiology and Pharmacology. Admissions to M. Sc courses by Research are made through State Level common entrance exams PGP CET/ PGO CET/ PGA SLP CET/ M. Sc (P & O) CET.
Candidates must hold Bachelor’s degree in Science with minimum 50% marks for the admissions to M. Sc Biochemistry/ Applied Biology/ Microbiology. Applicants with B.O.Th and B.P.Th degree can apply for M.Sc Operation Therapy and Physiotherapy, respectively.
M.Sc degree is pre-requisite for admissions to Ph. D Biochemistry/ Applied Biology/ Microbiology. For Ph. D, candidates must produce M.D degree as the compulsory eligibility criteria for admissions.

I don’t know much about GMC Patiala and GMCH Chandigarh, so I won’t comment on these two.
Make sure to choose a college with hardworking students. Good company will motivate you to study harder and excel in your field. Food and language barriers aren’t much of a problem in the long run.
