Elphinstone College Mumbai Admission 2024: Dates, Courses, Eligibility, Merit List

Elphinstone College has several scholarship schemes for meritorious students. Some of the major scholarship schemes managed by the college authorities from different categories are mentioned below:

• Preference for awarding scholarship is given to candidates who have managed to clear all the examination and have remained students of Elphinstone College throughout their College and university career.
• In case students transferred from other colleges have obtained an aggregate of 55% in their terminal examinations, they can also be considered for the scholarship awards.
• There are several determining factors for awarding scholarship such as good conduct, satisfactory progress, and regularity in attendance.
• Candidates awarded scholarships are however not exempted from payment of College and Gymkhana Fee.

List of scholarship schemes managed by Other Trusts

1. The Dorab Tata Special Scholarships: Managed by the Sir J.H. Bhabha Memorial Trust, for very meritorious students from Standard XII (Junior College). Candidates will get a scholarship of INR 150/- per month.
2. The J.H. Bhabha Memorial Scholarships: This is also managed by Sir J.H. Bhabha Memorial Trust. Candidates from economically modest family background pursuing B.A./B.Sc (First Year) are eligible or monthly scholarship of INR 150/-.
   Scholarship is admissible for first year but can be renewed for the second and third year depending on candidates’ annual examination performance.
