Akshaya Institute of Technology, Tumkur was established in 2003 under Akshaya Education Trust. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and recognised by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Karnataka.
