Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET) Admission 2024: Placement, Ranking, Fees Structure

Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET) offers Bachelor’s degree in Engineering under ten different specialization. The duration of B.E. programs is four-year. The total number of seats allocated for the B.E. program is 790.

Admission to the B.E. program is done through JEE Main examination conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) or KCET conducted by the Government of Karnataka.

However, candidates must have passed in the 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Biology/ Electronics as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study.

Candidates must also secure a minimum of 45% marks in an aggregate in optional subjects (40% marks for SC, ST category -1 and OBC category) to be considered eligible for admission.

Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET) offers Masters of Technology (M.Tech) program in six different specializations. The duration of all the M.Tech programs is two-year. The total number of seats allocated for the M.Tech program is 120. Admission to the M.Tech program is done on the basis of merit in GATE examination.

However, aspiring candidates must hold a B.E. / B.Tech. Degree in a relevant branch of Engineering or Technology from VTU or any other recognized University to be considered eligible for admission.

Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET) offers Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree programs to its students. The duration of the MCA program is three-year, while the MBA program is of two-year. The number of seats allocated for the MCA program is 30. For MBA program the total number of seats allocated is 120.

Admissions to MCA programs are done either through CMAT/ Karnataka PGCET/ KMAT/ GATE/ KMAT. Whereas for MBA, admission is done through K PGCET or KMAT.

Aspiring candidates for admission to the MBA program, must hold a Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 50% marks in an aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates).

Aspiring candidates for the MCA program must hold a Bachelor’s degree for a minimum duration of three-year duration with a minimum of 50% marks on an aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates) in at least one of the compulsory subjects like Mathematics / Computer Science / Computer Applications / Business Mathematics / Business Statistics or hold the same percentage of marks with the same compulsory subjects at the 10+2 level (45% for SC/ST candidates).
