Basaveshwar Engineering College (BEC) is an autonomous institute affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. The College is located in Bagalkot, Karnataka. BEC B.E. Admission 2023
Basaveshwar Engineering College (BEC) offers B.E. degree course in 10 disciplines. To be eligible for this program, candidate should have obtained 45% aggregate in Physics & Mathematics along with any of Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology.
Admission shall be granted on the basis of merit list prepared by considering marks in qualifying exam and KCET. Admission to the B.E. degree courses are given on the basis of JEE Main and COMED-K. However, through COMED-K admission to management quota seats are provided.

Key Points for Admission
- Candidates belonging to these two categories shall obtain at least 12 out of 50 marks in Kannada Language Examination in order to be eligible for allotment of seats in CET-2018.
- 5% relaxation in the percentage criteria of qualifying examination is given to reserved category candidates.
BCE M.Tech, MBA, and MCA Admission 2023
College provides M.Tech courses in ten disciplines. Additionally, it also provides MBA and MCA as Postgraduate course. In M.E. courses, candidate will be admitted on the basis of performance in PGCET/GATE (whichever is applicable).
To be eligible for M.Tech, a candidate should have passed B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks. For MBA and MCA course, graduation in any discipline from a recognized school/university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate is required.
Admission to all the postgraduate courses is done on the basis of PGCET entrance exam. For M.Tech course preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates. However, if GATE qualified candidates are not available, seat allotment will be made to non-GATE candidates based on the merit list of PGCET. Similarly, for MBA valid CAT/MAT/CMAT score will also be considered for admission.

BCE Ph.D. Admission 2023
BCE offers Ph.D. research programs in seven disciplines. For admission to Ph.D. course, it is mandatory for candidates to score at least 60% marks in the Master’s degree.
Selection to Ph.D. course is done on the basis of VRAT (VTU Research Aptitude Test) conducted by Visvesvaraya technological University and followed by interview. Candidates qualified in UGC / UGC-CSIR JRF / SLET / GATE / NET or any other National Test with valid score are exempted from VRAT.

Key Points for Admission

- Ph.D. program is offered as full time only.
- Final year students of M.Tech or equivalent course are also eligible to apply.
BCE Application Process 2023
- Candidate who is assigned rank in respective merit list for the concerned course has to get registered at nearest Helpline Centers for document verification and counseling processes.
- After the verification of documents candidates will be allowed for Option Entry for choice of allotment of seat.
- The following original documents and one set of attested photocopies have to be produced during the verification of documents.
- Print out of the CET Online Application Form.
- Original Copy of the Challan for having paid the fees.
- Admission Ticket.
- SSC and HSC Mark Sheets.
- Study Certificate counter signed by the concerned BEO / DDPI.
- Two recent passport size photographs.
- The following documents should be produced, “only if applicable”:
- Income Certificate obtained from concerned Tahasildar to claim “Supernumerary Quota” seats.
- Kannada Medium and Rural Study Certificate for the candidates claiming Kannada Medium reservation benefits.
