FR. C. Rodrigues Institute of Technology (FCRIT), Navi Mumbai was established in 1994 in the heart of Navi Mumbai, Vashi, as a part of Agnel Technical Education Complex. FCRIT is affiliated to the Mumbai University and offers five undergraduate engineering programs (Computer, Mechanical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electrical, and Information Technology) and two postgraduate engineering programs (Mechanical and Electrical Engineering). Admission in the FCRIT is based on CET or JEE Mains entrance exam. The institute has a dedicated Training and Placement Cell who provides 100% placement assistance to its students. Some of the top recruiters are TCS, Cognizant, Shell, Reliance Jio, Tata Power, Jacobs, Media.net, L&T, Endurance and many more.
FCRIT has been accorded accreditation for all the courses by the NBA (UG courses) and by NAAC. Institute has an in house Centre for incubation and business acceleration also known as CIBA which is catalyzed and supported by Department of Science & Technology under the Startup India Action Plan. Prototyping laboratories, workstations and fully furnished rooms are there to inculcate culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the society. - Library: FCRIT have a state-of-the-art collection of print as well as non-print resources that includes: books over 33,000 Volumes, 132 National and International Journals, 1273 Bound Volumes of Journals along with Non-Print media CD-ROMs, DVDs, Floppies, Conferences & Seminars proceedings, Synopsis and Project Reports.
- Sports Facilities: The Institute provides indoor game facilities for carrom, chess etc. It also has grounds for cricket, basketball, football etc for students. It has an indoor swimming pool, horse riding facilities, gym etc.
- Bank and ATM: The Institute further provides banking facilities and ATM within the premises for the use of students. The entire campus is equipped with CCTV surveillance cameras.
- Laboratories: The Institute provides various laboratories for each department of Engineering and Technology. These labs are fully equipped with modern instruments and layouts.
- Classroom: All the classrooms have been provided with modern Audio- Visual facilities like LCD Projector, Overhead Projector, Big-size Screen, Cordless Microphone with Amplifier and Speaker to facilitate the teaching and learning process. In future we will also introduce Interactive Electronic Boards in all the classrooms and tutorials.
- Cafeteria: Modern cafeteria with all the facilities is provided to students and staff members in separate locations to have better interaction amongst them. The students here can easily energize themselves after absorbing class hours. Foods at administered prices will be available from the campus cafeteria.
- Hostel: Accommodation with single, double bed with attached bath and 3 bed and 6 beds with common bath are available in the boy’s hostel. Mess will be run by management selected contractors who would arrange to supply Veg and Non-Veg meals. A visiting room will be there for the guardians to interact with their wards.
