It was according to the rounds taken by ACPC. Rank was generated(60% GUJCET and 40% board marks) for every appearing student by ACPC only. A total 4 rounds were there first was mock and the rest of the 3 rounds. We have to first add the list of all the colleges we are interested in going to and then accordingly to the rank the college in which we are eligible has been released after completion of every round. And yes there are benefits for the reserved seats for students who belong to EWS and OBC, etc.
The admission process is quite clear. We can apply through our JEE and GUJCET scores. My rank was 1961 and the cutoff was probably at 2500. For SC and ST student cutoff was at 10000. You have to just score well in GUJCET and boards.
There was a very smooth process. We have to apply online. On the website of ACPC, we have to select the college we want to be admission. Then they provide a merit list, of those who are eligible for this college. Then you have to confirm addmission from the online portal
You have up to 8 CGPA in your result. You can find the application form on the website which has been chosen from your side for placement and internship. Most Companies give reservation benefits for the reservation process of each student.
The admission process in any colleges under GTU University is done through the ACPC rank of the student. On other hand the admission process is also done through the JEE main entrance exam but only 5% seats are allocated for this way and rest of 95% seats are allocated base on ACPC rank in particular course. ACPC rank of any student is evaluated based on GUJCET and 12th Board exam result. The weight of GUJCET and 12th Board exam is 50:50 for the evaluation of ACPC rank. (Note: Only 3 subjects (PCM) are considered in 12th Board exam) This whole admission process was done with 4 rounds at that time. The first round is known as mock round and the college which is allocated to the student in this mock round is NOT considered as a final admission but student can get the idea about the cutoff and admission process. Then student can go for other rounds and if he/she is satisfied with the college then he/she has to pay affiliation fees of 300/- & college fees of 1500/- as a confirmation.
