Karpagam College of Engineering (KCE), Coimbatore Admission 2024, Cutoff, Courses, Entrance Exam

For admissions to BE/ B.Tech course, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is conducted by Anna University. Candidates should have passed HSC with 50% marks (45% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST) in PCM subjects in order to be eligible to apply.

The admission to various engineering colleges will be done through the TNEA Rank List, prepared according marks obtained by the candidates in the HSC. The counseling for the same will be organized by Anna University.

Application forms for TNEA can be filled both offline and online. Offline forms can be obtained from TNEA designated centers.

• Only those candidates who have done HSC from Tamil Nadu or are natives of the state are eligible to apply in TNEA.
• 5% relaxation in qualifying exam is given to OBC candidates and 10% relaxation is given to SC/ST candidates.

Admission to ME, MBA and MCA course at the institute is offered on the basis of the performance of the candidates in TANCET entrance examination conducted by Anna University. Candidates who have passed bachelor’s degree examination with 50% marks in concerned subject or equivalent are eligible to apply.

For ME, candidates should either have a valid GATE score card or valid TANCET score card. In case of MBA, candidates should have a valid score card of any of CAT/MAT/XAT or TANCET.

TANCET exam is conducted offline. The counseling is usually conducted in the month of June/July. Candidates are required to report at the counseling centers along with all the relevant documents.

• Relaxation of 5% marks is given to SC/ST category candidates.
• Admission to PG degree courses is carried out through central counseling (TANCA).

Candidate applying for Ph.D program should have completed ME/ M.Tech in concerned subject with at least 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA and BE/B.Tech with minimum 50% aggregate. Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their marks in entrance exam and interview.

Candidates qualified in NET/SLET or any other National Level Eligibility Test and have been awarded INSPIRE Fellowship of DST, Rajiv Gandhi and Maulana Azad Fellowships of UGC or similar fellowships by statutory bodies of Govt. of India are exempted from written test. For candidates belonging to SC/ST category, there is a relaxation of 5% or 0.5 CGPA.
