What's New in RVCE?
RV College of Engineering accepts BTech admissions based on COMEDK- UGET 2024/ KCET Score followed by centralized counselling. The application process for COMEDK- UGET 2024 will start from February 01 and the entrance test is scheduled on May 12, 2024. KCET applications will also start from January 10, 2024 and the entrance exam will be conducted on April 20 & 21, 2024 in offline pen & paper mode.
R.V College of Engineering is inviting application form for admission to the MCA, BE and M.Tech courses in Management Quota. Interested candidates can apply through the official website of the Institute. Apply
R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore was established in the year 1963. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. The institute is approved by AICTE and all its departments are accredited by NBA, New Delhi. Moreover, it has been ranked 58 among Engineering Colleges in India by NIRF.
RVCE is famous for its 4-year BE course which is offered in 12 specializations. Interested applicants who belong to Karnataka are offered admission into the course based on the KCET score. However, selection of students belonging to other states depends upon COMEDK score.
Apart from BE, candidates can also take admission in M.Tech and MCA provided at PG level. Securing admission in M.Tech requires a valid score in GATE/PGCET while the institute considers the score of KMAT/PGCET exams for MCA.
The application process for KCET is likely to commence in the month of February. The application fee is INR 650/-. Those who are willing to appear in COMEDK can register now by paying an application fee of INR 1600/-. Registration for GATE starts in the month of September every year. Interested candidates can register by making a payment of INR 750/-.

The minimum requirement for applying is mentioned as follows:
- Candidates must have passed class 12th with at least 65% in Mathematics and Physics separately.
- Also, they must have obtained at least 70% marks in Maths and Science separately.
R.V. College of Engineering BE Selection Criteria
- For selecting candidates, R V College of Engineering considers the score of KCET exam for those who belong to the state of Karnataka.
- While for students belonging to other states, selection will depend upon the exams such as COMEDK and any other national entrance test.
- Applicants with a valid rank in the above exams have to appear for the counselling.
- KCET qualified students have to appear in KCET Counselling conducted by KEA and COMEDK qualifiers have to attend the COMEDK Counselling.
- During the counselling, applicants have to fill the choice of college and course
- Seats will be allotted based on the choices filled and score obtained in the entrance exam.
- Around 45% of seats are filled through KCET, 30% through COMEDK and remaining 25% through Management Quota.

To apply for MCA, one must satisfy the following eligibility:
- Candidates must have completed their Graduation with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Computer Programming/ Computer Applications/ Business Mathematics/ Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects.
- Further, they must have obtained at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for Sc/ST candidates) in their Graduation.

60% is needed in 10th and 12th to get into rvce.
the application form is found on the official website of rvce college and the application fee is 650rs application dates can be seen on the official website as well which is www.rvce.edu.in.
The admission process is pretty much late, if it would be made faster it would be soo good.

I got admission to RVCE through the Karnataka common entrance test (KCET). I had a rank of 225 and during counseling, I opted for Aerospace engineering in RV. After the counseling results are announced, one has to accept (or reject and go to the next round) the seat and pay the government fees to the given bank account number. After that, one must visit the college with 4 copies of all the mentioned documents and might need to carry a DD of the specified amount. The cut-off varies according to the branch and categories. The aerospace department has a mediocre cut-off for CET.
