Sakthi Mariamman Engineering College (SMEC), Chennai was established in 2001 under Kannammal Educational Trust. It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is recognised by State Board of Technical Education, and Government of Tamil Nadu. It is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Institute and accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The vision of the college is to facilitate transformation of students into human beings of excellent conduct & character, responsible citizens and competent professionals, focusing on assimilation, generation & dissemination of knowledge and make this Institution a centre of excellence.
