Bachelor of Engineering program is offered full time by the institute in different specializations and is spread across 8 semesters. The admission are conducted by DTE, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. SATI issues a merit list based on marks secured by the candidate in JEE Mains, conducted by CBSE followed by a counseling round.

Candidates are shortlisted for admission in the following two ways:
Those who have qualified GATE are eligible to for admission to full time Master’s courses for the non-sponsored category. If there are vacant seats and no candidates with valid GATE score, admission will be done directly on merit basis.
Those who have under graduate degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture or any other degree holding equivalent value in respective or relevant branches.
He/she must have full-time working experience of 2 years in reputed firm/company/industry/educational & research institutions/any Govt. department or Govt. autonomous organizations in any related field in he/she is seeking admission.

The MBA students must maintain a valid MET score for the admission procedure. The intake for the program is 60 seats.
The M.Sc courses in Applied Sciences require candidates to have studied the relevant subject as a compulsory subject during graduation. The intake of the program is 25 seats.
The institute publishes a merit list and thus, schedules Group Discussions and Personal Interviews for the selected candidates. The GD and PI are conducted in different phases. Candidates are informed about the GD an PI through the means of registered post and e-mail.
Some program do not conduct GD as a part of their admission process. For such program, the PI round will be the final selection round.

For applying to post graduation courses, candidates must fill in the application form online by visiting the official university website. Candidate can buy the application form and the information brochure by making a payment online of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 600/- for SC/ST candidates.
A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be offered final admission. Test scores are NOT the only criteria for selection.
Candidate must submit his/her recent passport size photographs along with the application form. Those students who are in their last year of graduation must submit their high school certificate along with an undertaking about submitting the grade cards and certificates for the degree course by August 31.
