AIISH Mysore Admission 2023 for various UG and PG courses has started on the official website of AIISH. The institute has released the official notification and application dates for admission to B.ASLP, M.Sc. (Aud.), M.Sc. (SLP), M.Ed.Spl.Ed. and B.Ed.Spl.Ed. programs. All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) is an autonomous institute established in the year 1966 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

• AIISH will conduct a computer-based All India AIISH Entrance Examination for B.ASLP/M.Sc. (Aud.)/M.Sc. (SLP) programs.
• The candidates can apply online for the entrance exam on the official website of AIISH.
• There is no entrance examination for B.ASLP for students who have studied abroad or have a foreign passport. 
• The selection of such candidates will be made on the basis of merit in the last qualifying examination.
• AIISH has also released the application forms for M.Ed.Spl.Ed. and B.Ed.Spl.Ed. which needs to be submitted offline. 
• Admission to M.Ed.Spl.Ed. program will be done on the basis of an offline entrance exam conducted at AIISH.
• Admission to Ph.D. at AIISH is based on the University of Mysuru Entrance Exam.
• For all other courses, admission is granted on the basis of merit of the qualifying exam.

AIISH Mysore Admission 2023 Dates

AIISH has released the annual prospectus for AIISH Mysore Admission 2023 on its official website. The institute has also released the application and exam date for the All India AIISH Entrance Examination 2023. The students can check the AIISH Admission Prospectus 2023-24 for further details on the admission process. 

Here are the important dates for AIISH Mysore Admission 2023: 

AIISH Mysore offers a Bachelor’s in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (B.ASLP) and a Bachelor's of Education Special Education (B.Ed.Sp.Ed) Degree at the Undergraduate Level. The candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in their last qualifying examination to get admission to AIISH B.ASLP and B.Ed.Sp.Ed courses. 

AIISH BASLP and B.Ed.Sp.Ed Eligibility Criteria 

• B.ASLP: 10+2 with a minimum of 50% Marks (45% for SC/ST) in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics/Computer Science/Statistics/Electronics/Psychology.
• B.Ed.Sp.Ed: Passed any Degree Examination with 50% Marks (45% for SC/ST) from the University of Mysore or any recognized university. The candidates should not have completed 30 years of age on July 01, 2023.

AIISH BASLP and B.Ed.Sp.Ed Selection Criteria 

• B.ASLP: Score/Merit in All India AIISH Entrance Examination (Foreign Quota Candidates are Exempted from AIISH Entrance Exam).
• B.Ed.Sp.Ed: Merit in the Qualifying Examination.

AIISH offers admission to three courses at the Postgraduate level. The institute offers M.Sc in two specializations namely M.Sc. (Speech-Language Pathology) and M.Sc. (Audiology). AIISH also offers Master of Education Special Education (M.Ed.Sp.Ed.) in Hearing Impairment. The admission to these PG Courses is based on an All India Entrance Test conducted by the institute in paper-pencil mode. 

AIISH M.Sc and M.Ed.Sp.Ed. Eligibility Criteria 

• M.Sc: BASLP/B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) Degree from the University of Mysore or any other recognized University/Institute with 50% Marks.
• M.Ed.Sp.Ed: B.S.Ed.(Hearing Impairment)/B.Ed. Spl. Ed. (HI) Degree from the University of Mysore or any B.Ed. (HI) Degree recognized by RCI with 50% Marks (45% for SC/ST). The candidates should not have completed 35 years of age on July 01, 2023.

AIISH M.Sc and M.Ed.Sp.Ed. Selection Criteria 

• M.Sc: Score/Merit in Entrance Examination based on the B.ASLP Syllabus of RCI.
• M.Ed.Sp.Ed: Score/Merit in Entrance Examination based on B.S.Ed. (HI) / B.Ed. Spl. Ed. (HI) Syllabus.

AIISH offers three UG Diploma Courses and four PG Diploma Courses. Admission to UG Diploma Courses at AIISH Mysore is done on the basis of the All India Online Aptitude Test (AIOAT) conducted by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). For PG Diploma courses, admission is based on merit followed by an interview. Candidates who are short-listed based on the merit-cum-reservation will be called for an interview by the institute.

• UG Diploma: Score/Merit in All India Online Aptitude Test (AIOAT)
• PG Diploma: Merit in the Last Qualifying Examination followed by an Interview

AIISH offers Ph.D. in three specializations namely Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, and Speech and Hearing. The selection of candidates is based on their performance in the Ph.D. Entrance Test conducted by the University of Mysore followed by an interview.

The institute also offers a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Speech, Language and/or Hearing every year. The eligibility criteria of the same include a Ph.D. in the same discipline with a research experience in the same field. The selection of candidates for the Post-Doctoral Fellowship will be based on suitability and an interview conducted by the university.

AIISH Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria 

Passed M.Sc. (SLP) / M.Sc. (Sp. & Hg.) / MASLP / M.ASLP degree examination of the University of Mysore or equivalent examination by the University of Mysore with a minimum of 55% Marks (50% for SC/ST).

AIISH Post-Doctoral Fellowship Eligibility Criteria 

• Ph.D. from a recognized University in the area of speech, language, and/or hearing.
• Research Experience in any Institution supported by a certificate from the Head of the Institution is desirable.
• At least two publications as the main author singly/jointly in indexed journals.

AIISH Ph.D. and Post-Doctoral Fellowship Selection Criteria 

• Ph.D.: Ph.D. Entrance Test conducted by the University of Mysore followed by an Interview.
• Post-Doctoral Fellowship: Merit and Interview by the Selection Committee
