Institute of Management and Information Technology - [IMIT] is a constituent college of Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha. The institute was established in the year 1962 and it is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

IMIT offers postgraduate programs in Business Management and Computer Applications leading to MBA and MCA degrees respectively. Alongside, the institute also offers a two-year Master of Technology (M.Tech) program in Computer Science and Information Technology to aspiring students.

Admission to the MBA and MCA courses is done on the basis of rank secured by candidates in State level OJEE examination conducted by the Government of Odisha. Similarly, M.Tech aspirants can get admission to IMIT on the basis of rank secured by candidates in OJEE exam.

IMIT Cuttack Admission Highlights 2023

IMIT offers a two-year Master of Business Administration (MBA) program alongside Master of Computer Application (MCA) program which lasts for a duration of three years.

Eligibility: Aspiring candidates for the MBA program must hold a Graduation degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks.

For the MCA program, candidates must hold a Graduation or any equivalent degree with Mathematics as a compulsory subject at the graduation level or at the 10+2 level.

• For both MBA and MCA courses, candidates must hold a Graduation degree to be considered eligible to take part in the admission process.
• Minimum marks required in the qualifying examination for the MBA programme is 50%.
• For the MCA program aspiring candidates must have had Mathematics as a compulsory subject either at the Graduation or at the 10+2 level.
• Candidates must secure a valid OJEE scorecard.

IMIT also offers Master of Technology (M.Tech) program to students who wish to pursue a career in the field of Engineering. The M.Tech program is offered in two different specializations namely:

1. Computer Science
2. Information Technology. 

The entire duration for each of the M.Tech courses is two years.

Eligibility: Aspiring candidates for the M.Tech program must hold a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in a relevant discipline of Engineering or Technology with a minimum of 60% marks or a 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale to be considered eligible for admission.

Selection Criteria: Admission to the M.Tech programme is done on the basis of OJEE examination which is conducted on state level.

  4. Original CLC & Conduct Certificate.
  5. Xerox copy of Rank Card
