Wildlife Institute of India Admission 2024
Wildlife Institute of India grants admission to 2-year PG courses, 10-month PG Diploma and short-term certificate programmes. For M.Sc, eligible Indian candidates will be required to appear for an online National Eligibility Test (NET) in any one of the 14 Centres. Shortlisted candidates based on NET screening will be further called to attempt a Personality and Aptitude Test (PAT)/interview to be held at Dehradun. The selection of the course will be made based on the combined merit of marks obtained in the NET and PAT.
Note: All eligible foreign candidates will be selected through an online interview. The final merit list will be based on marks in the Graduation degree and marks obtained in an online interview.

Wildlife Institute of India Campus
Wildlife Institute of India campus is located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Students and parents can reach the campus easily by road or railway. The campus has a rich diversity of 616 plant species comprised of 58 trees, 65 shrubs, 357 herbs and climbers (vines), etc. Of the total 616 plant species, 94% species are in the wild and 6% species are planted. The biodiversity of the Wildlife Institute of India is also rich in birds, amphibians, reptiles, spiders, butterflies, etc. The campus of WII Dehradun offers all the necessary facilities given below:
- Auditorium: It has a fully air-conditioned auditorium that can accommodate more than 300 students. Microphones are provided in front of each chair which facilitates interactive sessions during various events. It has LCD projectors with good audio and visual qualities.
- Hostel: The Wildlife Institute of India is a residential campus with two hostel accommodations. There are a total of 84 single rooms and 40 double rooms in the old and new hostels. The old hostel building is for masters and research students and the new hostel provides accommodation to trainees and guests. Both hostels have facilities of a common television room, table tennis, carom board and lounge space.
- Guest House: It has one guest house situated near the old hostel. The guest house includes 10 fully furnished rooms including 2 VIP suites. It has a dining room in which delicious food is served.
