Jayalakshmi Narayanaswamy College of education in Chennai started its rendezvous with a purpose in the year 2009. It got its recognition from the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University in 2008 itself. It began its journey of educating the future educators in a single room. But now it has grown tremendously in its stature. The infrastructure development grew along with its reputation among the public. All these years this institution has committed itself in transforming lives of the destitute children in need. The management is keen in expanding the student strength. And they keeping-up the hard work and devotion that the Founder Mrs. Mary Clubwala Jhadav put on in establishing this institution. The College offers courses which fetch a Degree in Education (B.Ed.). The College is affiliated to DTERT as well. Hence it offers D.T.Ed course which admits students right after twelfth standard.
