Jawahar Barathi Degree College was actually named as “Visvodhya College” when started and later by the current name from 1965 onwards. It accentuates on the line “Tamasoma Jyothirgamaya “from a famous sloga and stresses on imparting liberal education to young aspirants of this society without any discriminations.
