- Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination conducted by West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or any other equivalent board/council in at least 5 subjects.
- For Honours courses, candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with minimum 45% marks in aggregate calculated by adding the marks obtained in best five subjects (including at least one language paper but excluding Environmental Studies) or 50% marks in subject or related subject.
