JBAS College Admission 2024: Courses, Fees, Eligibility, Application Form

The college offers a wide range of undergraduate courses such as B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com. with various specializations. 

The B.A specializations offered in shift 1 are Historical Studies, Political Science and Corporate Economics, English Literature and the specializations offered in shift 2 are Corporate Economics, English Literature, Tourism and Travel Management.

The specializations offered in B.Sc. courses are Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Plant Biology & Plant Biotechnology, Zoology, Advanced Zoology & Biotechnology, Nutrition, F.S.M. & Dietetics, Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics, Interior Design & Décor, Psychology, Biochemistry, Statistics, Microbiology, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Science and the specializations offered in B.Com courses are Honours, CS, Accounts and Finance, Information System Management.

JBAS Chennai UG Eligibility Criteria

• Students should have passed Higher Secondary or Equivalent examination from a recognized board
• Subjects should be relevant to the field of study
• Candidate must have scored minimum 50% marks

JBAS Chennai UG Selection Criteria

The list of selected Candidates for admission to the various courses will be displayed on the College Notice Board and also on the College website.

• Apart from this all selected candidates will be intimated by SMS
• The selected Candidates List will specify the date of interview and provisional admission for the candidates.
• The institute will not entertain any request for the change in the date of interview.
• Selected students are required to present themselves personally on the date of the interview specified along with the printout of the Application if submitted Online along with the following documents:
  • Mark Sheets for the plus Two (Std.XII) Examination.
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Conduct Certificate
  • Community Certificate, wherever applicable

Note: The original Transfer and Conduct Certificates will not be returned to the candidates under any circumstances after admission.

Under the PG domain JBAS offers courses like M.Sc, MA. M.Com and M.Phil. with various specializations. The PG courses are also offered in two shifts.

Specializations under the M.A course are English Literature and Corporate Economics. M.Sc specializations are Counselling and Guidance / Advanced Organizational Behaviour ( C& G / AOB ), Applied Psychology, Zoology, Home Science, Textile Science and Fashion Designing, Child Development & Essentials of Nutrition, Applied Microbiology, Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics.M.Com has one specialization i.e. CS. M.Phil. Specializations are Applied Psychology (Sp. Student Counselling, Home Science, Textiles and Clothing, Human Development and Family Studies, Commerce, Zoology and Corporate Secretaryship.

JBAS Chennai PG Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have obtained a graduate degree in relevant discipline
• The degree should be from a recognized university

JBAS Chennai PG Selection Criteria

• Admissions are done on the basis of qualifying merit score for the concerned discipline
• Followed by personal interview
• The selection procedure for both UG and PG is same

Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College offers PhD program in 3 specializations for a duration of 3 years.

The specializations offered under PhD are Zoology, Psychology, Human Science.

• Candidate must have completed postgraduate degree in relevant discipline
• Degree should be from a recognized university

JBAS Chennai Ph.D. Selection Criteria

• Admission is done on the basis of marks scored at postgraduate level
• Followed by personal interview of the candidate
• Preference is given to the candidates having valid NET score
