Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Ajmer was established in the year 1963. It is affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU). It is a constituent unit of the National Council of Educational Research & Training (NCERT), New Delhi. RIE Ajmer offers two integrated programs, viz. B.Sc-B.Ed. and BA-B.Ed including a B.Ed. program at the undergraduate level. For postgraduate studies, the college offers an M.Ed. program.

RIE Ajmer offers full-time integrated courses, viz, B.Sc-B.Ed and BA-B.Ed for the duration of four years.at the undergraduate level. It also offers B.Ed course for the duration of two years.
B.Sc-B.Ed is a five-year integrated program offered in two groups, namely, Biological Group (Botany, Zoology, Chemistry) and Physical Group (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics). B.Ed is also offered in two groups, i.e, Science-Mathematics and Social Science-Language group. Admission is based on the score in CEE followed by counselling conducted by NCERT.

RIE Ajmer offers a two-year M.Ed. program at PG level. BA-B.Ed, B.Sc-B.Ed, B.El.Ed and B.Ed degree holders are eligible to pursue the M.Ed. program provided they have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate. Selection of candidates for M.Ed. program is done through NCERT-CEE and its respective counselling.

Key Points:
Students applying for any of the courses offered by RIE, Ajmer are required to visit the NCERT website and fill the online application form for the Common Entrance Exam (CEE). A valid email ID and phone number will be required for the first step of application.
The board provides login credentials to the registered candidates through e-mail and SMS which can be used to proceed with the application process. The detailed process of application through NCERT CEE is as follows:
