Saveetha University Admission 2024: Dates, Courses, Eligibility, Selection Criteria, Application Process

At undergraduate level, Saveetha University offers BE/B.Tech and BE/B.Tech (Lateral) courses to the students who want to pursue their career in the field of engineering. The duration period for the courses are 4 years and 3 years respectively.

In order to seek admission in the above mentioned courses, the eligible candidates need to appear in Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) or Common Entrance Test conducted by the Anna University.

List of B.E./B.Tech courses offered by Saveetha University

At UG level, Saveetha University also offers medical courses like MBBS and BDS. Duration of MBBS is 4.5 years (+1 year for internship), whereas of BDS is 4 years. In the field of Ayurveda, the university also provides BAMS to the eligible students.

Admission in MBBS and BDS is based on the marks scored in the national level entrance exam called NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test), which is conducted by CBSE. Application for NEET can be made in its official website

In order to seek admission in BAMS, candidates must have studied and passed 10+2 level or equivalent in relevant discipline.

List of UG Medical courses offered by Saveetha University

At undergraduate level, the university offers several more courses with various specializations such as Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Technology for a duration period of 3 years + 1 year for internship, B.Sc in Nursing for 4 years, and Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) for 4 years. It also offers two courses in the field of Law - B.A.B.L and B.BA.B.L. Duration of both the law courses are 5 years.

Admission in B.Sc and B.PT is done on the basis of marks obtained at 10+2 level. The admission procedure follows “First Come First Served” basis.

To get admission in B.A.B.L and B.BA.BL., eligible candidates need to appear in Saveetha University Law Entrance Examination (SULEE).

Students with CLAT and LSAT scores will be preferred for admission in the law courses

List of other UG courses offered by Saveetha University

At postgraduate level, the university offers Master of Engineering (M.E.) and  Master of Technology (M.Tech) for a duration period of two years. It also offers  Integrated ME/M.Tech for 6 years.

To get admission, students must hold B.Tech or B.E. degree in relevant discipline. The final selection is done on the basis of entrance (TANCET / CET) marks conducted by the Anna University & Consortium of Self Financing Professional, Arts and Science Colleges in Tamilnadu.

Students with a valid GATE score can apply for direct admission. Selection will be done on the basis of marks scored in GATE.

List of M.E./M.Tech courses offered by Saveetha University

The university offers Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery degrees under 13 and 7 different specialization subjects respectively. Each of the courses is offered for a duration of three years. It also provides Doctor of Medicine (DM) for a duration period of 3 years and Integrated MD/MS/M.Sc with Ph.D.

In order to seek admission to MD and MS programmes, candidates needs to appear for NEET. Application for NEET can be made in its official website 

Admission to DM and Integrated course is done on the marks secure in the entrance exam conducted by the university.

Saveetha University offers B.Ed and M.Ed to the students who want to pursue their career in the field of teaching. The duration period are 2 years and 1 year respectively.

Admission to B.Ed and M.Ed is done on the basis of marks scored in the pre-degree qualification or equivalent. For B.Ed, candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline and for M.Ed the candidates must be B.Ed graduate.

At postgraduate level, courses like MBA, M.Sc (Faculty of Medicine) and Integrated M.Sc (Medical with Ph.D) are also offered to the students who want to pursue their career in administration and medical science. The duration period for MBA is 2 years, and for M.Sc and Integrated M.Sc are 3 years. Duration period for M.Sc in Nursing is 1 year.

To get admission in MBA, eligible candidates need to appear in Management Aptitude Test (MAT) or TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) or Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Anna University.

The admission for M.Sc. (Faculty of Medicine) and Integrated M.Sc courses are based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the Undergraduate Qualifying Examination and the performance in the Interview.

Apart from undergraduate and postgraduate courses, Saveetha University also offers Ph.D. and Fellowship courses to the students who do research in the field of Medical Science.

Ph.D. course is offered under five major specializations such as Medical, Dental, Nursing, Engineering and Physiotherapy. Fellowship course is offered under Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Aesthetic Dentistry and Implantology.

The eligible candidates are selected on the basis of marks scored in the entrance exam conducted by the university followed by a personal interview.
