Founded in the year 1996, Hindustan Institute of Engineering and Technology(HIET) was established in the state of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The institute was set up under “Hindustan Engineering Training Centre (HETC) Educational Society”, a prominent training center in South India.

HIET offers diploma and undergraduate programs, in the field of mechanical and avionics to the students. Admission to these courses is based on merit received in 10+2, majoring in PCM.
