Meerut College is a government-funded college which is situated in the city of Meerut in the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the most famous and prestigious colleges in the Northern part of India and is affiliated to the Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut. Candidates who seek admission to the Meerut College are first required to register at the Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CSS) university website and also in the Meerut college website as well by providing necessary details and documents like mark sheets, school TC, etc. Then the admissions are done purely based on the guidelines of CSS university, policies of Uttar Pradesh Government and reservation of various categories as per the Government.

Meerut College provides job opportunities to its students by organizing numerous campus drives and job fairs in a regular interval at the end of every academic year. A separate placement cell is present in the college which comprises experienced faculty members across various departments. The students are also given assistance to getting placed in a government sector job. Almost 75% of the students get placed every year through the placement drives. The students are given preparation to the interview through various virtual drives which are very much helpful to the students.
In the year 2018, 1 organization visited the college for on-campus placement interviews. 45 students took part in the placement and 3 students were selected. In the Off-Campus placement interviews 28 students were placed.

Meerut College does not have scholarship programs of its own. But it facilitates students with the scholarships announced by the Uttar Pradesh Government. Around 3393 students were benefited by UP government scholarships in the year 2017-18. The Alumni of the college also provides scholarships. These are provided on the basis of merit.
