Ranchi Women's College, Ranchi Admission 2023: Courses, Admission Form, Merit List

Ranchi Women's College offers BA in 14 specializations, B.Sc. in 7 specializations, B. Com, BCA, and BBA degree courses at the undergraduate level.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board to be eligible to apply for BA and B. Com programs. For B.Sc. program, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and/or Biology as subjects in Class XII with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

For BBA and BCA program, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with English as a compulsory subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate to be eligible to apply for these programs.

Admission is done on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying marks and/or interview conducted by the college. The merit list will be prepared for all categories based on applicant’s marks at 10+2. Applicants will be called for admission process as per the merit list.

Key Points for Undergraduate Admissions:

• All SC/ST candidates are eligible for the relaxation of 5%.
• For BCA course candidates must also have Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
• Candidates applying for Honors program shall have to pass the Class XII with a minimum of 65% marks.

Ranchi Women's College offers MA in 5 specializations, M.Sc. in 3 specializations, M.Com, and B.Ed. degree courses at the postgraduate level.

Candidates must have graduation/bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject(s) obtained through the 10+2+3 system or an equivalent qualification with a minimum aggregate of 55% or equivalent CGPA of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India to be eligible to apply for the postgraduate degree program.

For M.Sc. program, candidates must have Bachelor’s degree in B.Sc.

For admission to B. Ed, candidates must have must either a BA, or B. Sc., or B. Com from any recognized university with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Admission is done on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying marks and/or interview conducted by the college. The merit list will be prepared for all categories based on applicant’s marks at the graduation level. They will be called for admission process as per the merit list.

• For B. Ed admission is done through a state level counselling conducted by the Ranchi University on the basis of state common entrance test.
