Sacred Heart College, Kochi is a premier institution of higher education affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala. It has 16 undergraduate and 15 postgraduate programmes, and a range of diploma and certificate courses including M.Phil. and Ph.D.
Application to UG courses start by the month of May, whereas, application procedure of PG courses start in the month of June. Application process for the M.Phil. courses start at the end of September.
Admission to the UG courses are based on merit of the students in their 10+2 level along with the condition of having certain particular subjects for seeking admission to particular specializations. Admission to the PG courses are based on +2 as well as +3 merit along with certain other factors.
Admission to research courses like M.Phil and Ph.D. courses, are based on a certain aggregate of marks secured by the candidate in their post graduation level. For certain self-aided courses the candidate needs to appear for an entrance test followed by an interview.

Sacred Heart College offers UG courses in 16 specializations under five different streams - Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Computer Application(BCA) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). All the undergraduate courses are offered for a period of 3 years.
Admission to the UG courses are done on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in their (10+2) examination. For admission in BA Animation and Graphic Design, the candidate need to appear in an aptitude test and interview. Application process for UG course start in the month of May every year.

Sacred Heart College provides postgraduate courses to candidates with 15 different specializations under art, science and commerce streams. All the PG courses offered by the college are of 3 years duration.
Admission to the PG courses in Sacred Heart college is done on the basis of merit of marks / grades secured by the candidate at the UG level. Application process starts in the month of June every year.

- Separate application shall be submitted, if the applicant intends to apply for more than one programme

SH College M.Phil and Ph.D. Admission 2023
Sacred Heart College offers two different types of research courses - M.Phil. and Ph.D. The M.Phil. courses are of one year consisting of two semesters. Subjects offered for M.Phil are Economics, Commerce and Physics.
The college also offers Ph.D. courses for six different specializations that include Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics, Physics, and Zoology. For admissions to the Ph.D. programmes, one should qualify the following eligibility criteria:
- Candidates should possess a Postgraduate degree in any discipline from MG University or any other university which is considered as an equivalent by MGU, with a minimum of 55% aggregate. Candidates awaiting the results of PG degree can also apply for the programme
- Candidates with MBBS/ BAHMS/ BHMS /BDS degree should have a minimum of 50% aggregate.
- CA and ACS candidates can also apply, provided their name has been entered in the Register as members maintained by the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India.
- For SC/ST candidates, one should have a minimum of 50% in PG degree
