Shri Guru Ram Rai PG College Admission 2023: Application Process, Reservation, Scholarship

Shri Guru Ram Rai PG College has BA, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Ed. courses in its curriculum. The college offers 9 specializations in BA program and 11 specializations in B.Sc program. Admission to any UG program is given as per the merit of candidates in the qualifying examination.

Those who are seeking admission to BA and B.Com courses must have passed 10+2/ HSC or its equivalent qualifying examination conducted by a recognized University with minimum 40% marks (35% for SC/ ST/ OBC category) marks in aggregate. Applicants who want to apply for admission to B.Sc course shall have completed 10+2 with minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved category) with relevant subjects to become eligible. For B.Ed. course students must hold a Graduation Degree in any discipline.

Key Points for Admission:

• Out of total 90% seats are reserved for domicile of Uttarakhand and 10% seats are reserved for the residents of other states.
• As per the norms of Government of Uttarakhand 10% seats are reserved for students of U.K. Board.
• Wards of college employees and teachers are given reservation of 10%.
• In case the strength of students in any subject is less than 10 then no teaching arrangement is made for that subject and applicants have to choose some other subject.

SGRR PG College offers Master’s program in various subjects with multiple specializations. Applicants who are seeking admission to full-time MA, M.Sc, M.Com, MSW, M.Ed., PG Diploma course are admitted to the respective course strictly on the basis of their merit in the qualifying examination followed by interview.

Minimum eligibility criteria for the applicants who have applied for MA program is BA Degree in relevant specialization, similarly for M.Sc minimum eligibility requirement is B.Sc in respective discipline, the eligibility requirement of M.Com is B.Com, for M.Ed. it is B.Ed., and for PG Diploma and MSW course eligibility requirement is pass in any Bachelor Degree course.

• MA/ MSc students shall appear in only those optional subjects that are taught in the college as per the norms of the University.
• Application of ex-students is considered for casual admission only if seats are available in the course.
• Students must submit separate application form for more than one subject.
• Students shall have to be present before the Admission Committee for the interview and document verification.
• Applicants from other University must submit the migration certificate within one month from the date of admission.
